The developmental needs of underprivileged communities are extremely broad and includes, amongst others, education, health and infrastructure for various age groups and for a number of purposes. We, however, believe that the vast wealth of skills found within the ranks of Transnet’s employees matches all these requirements. The EV is a strategic plan to run projects in the various communities the company operates within, using the skills and volunteerism of all the company’s employees. This is aligned with Transnet mission to find innovative yet authentic ways to ensure that its social responsibility programmes fit with the needs of South African communities
